Scamp’s New Box

Rabbits, even those safe indoors, need a place to hide in case something scary happens. Scamp’s is an A4 paper box. My dad brings him new ones regularly from work, as he likes to customise them until there’s no walls left to hold the lid up.

After much faffing about I managed to get a video uploaded of him adding a door to his latest box. It’s sped up because 5 minutes of chewing can get a little monotonous when you can just see a nose, cute though it is.

It’s just the right size for curling up for a nap too:

Even at five minutes that’s some impressive work! I loved the way he had to test it both ways. Is he your first wild indoor rabbit? I’m sure you’ve read “Hare About the House” so I won’t mention it.

Yes, I’ve had bunnies for years but he’s my first full time house rabbit and first wild rabbit. I never intended to keep him but he’s coming up for three now, lol.

  2. Oh how sweet, what a dedicated worker Scamp is!

    Have you still got Scamp?
Love the Box idea, my rabbit loves to shred things, so a couple of sheets of newspaper hanging up in his run…keeps him entertained for a while…

I love this! What an industrious little bun. 🙂 I’ve always loved that picture of a bunny all curled up, but I didn’t know where it came from. Now I’ve seen him in action.

Just ordered your book — so glad it’s available in the U.S. via your “store” on Amazon.

He loves his boxes, sometimes too much, there is only so much cardboard you can remove and still be able to sit on top without it giving way. He’s not much of a structural engineer!

I hope you enjoy the book!
