Christmas Bunny Goodies

I hope everyone is having a good Christmas. Scamp got a little bit spoiled, especially as I have no idea how such a little toe-rag didn’t end up on Santa’s naughty list.  Here are his goodies:

There was rather nice wood and carrot hanging chew too but he ate it before I took the picture. He has some long pop up tunnels to use whilst he’s out exercising. I haven’t popped them all up yet but so far he’s enjoying playing, race through the tunnel, poke the nearest pair of ankles and dash back through so no one can tell it was you.

Scamp poking his head out.

He has a new ‘doormat’ as he eaten the old one. This time it’s made out of bunny approved materials (seagrass) which I’m sure he’ll test thoroughly.

I don't know what happened. It was like this when I found it, honest.

Not 100% sure about this.

It feels funny on my toes

I'm not eating it. I'm just touching it with my teeth.

So, did your bunny get any fun presents?

OMG. “I’m not eating it. I’m just touching it with my teeth.” BRILLIANT!
I’m going to be giggling over that for several days.
    I love Scamp.

I just wanted to say that although I love your site, corn is really bad for rabbits as it can impact in their guts and block them up causing serious problems. I just didn’t want anyone else to see the picture and think its ok to give rabbits corn to chew. I did exactly the same when I first had rabbits.

Scamp is just wonderful! Thank you for sharing him with us in the video and pictures! He looks very well loved and cared for! After eating the rug, the box, the paper in his digging box, and probably a whole bunch of “no see ums,” I suspect the corn toys won’t hurt Scamp too much! Mine eat stuff, too, unfortunately … cords, plastic cable ties, the flooring, the boards along the bottom of the wall, the window frames, their dishes … etc. We do have to take care of bunnies and their little digestive systems are very delicate. A large quantity of corn or corn on a regular basis is not good, but I bet Scamp’s mommy maintains a pretty awesome diet for Scamp! His corn toy might be more like an ice cream cone to you and me … we shouldn’t have it, but if we don’t eat them often, the good they do for our soul outweighs the bad they do to our digestive system …

Hi Guys, yes, corn is a bit of a controversial bunny toy but I’ve not had a problem. Although this looks like lots, he doesn’t eat it all in one go. I think he’s only had one since Christmas. I hang them up and lower it gradually so he can’t pig out, and he eats it a bit at a time that way. He chews up each piece rather than swallowing it whole, but that might be something to be more cautious about with a bigger bunny that can fit more in it’s mouth. You make a good point about everything else he eats Jodi, sometimes the corn is just the right distraction when he’s try to eat a cupboard. Finding enough things to occupy him is hard work 🙂
