Best Thing About Christmas (if you’re a rabbit)

The rabbit’s favourite thing about Christmas has to be the big pile of veg. Although even Scamp isn’t that keen on brussel sprouts!

Rabbit Vegetables

That’s carrot, sprouts and parsnip, then there is broccoli today to add to that. The parsnips are home-grown, my first try at parsnips, so we saved them for Christmas. It dig take a bit of work to get them out of the frozen ground but they tasted great. Here’s a piccy, yummm….

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your having a good time 🙂

Christmas meant a bit of a food fest for Rabbits3 too, they seemed to know that there were extra vegs to be had for looking cute and hungry. Fennel, celery tops, Chickweed, and Romaine lettuce all disappeared.

Bunnies can eat parsnip??…must try with a slice tonight, as Mr D is having some boiled with his roast turkey (I personally don’t like boiled parsnip at all!)
Happy Boxing Day to you and Scamp 🙂

  3. Tamsin says:

@Gabriella Noo! Don’t boil them, ewww, try roasting them like potatoes 😉 Parsnip root is fine (at least mine always have it no problem) but I don’t think you can feed the leaves like you do carrots.

  4. lovely veg! Our rabbit Anya did like brussel sprouts, she ate them most happily!
